Kilmington and Stourton Cricket Club (KSCC) on Friday 11th May had a special event to thank supporters of the club over recent years. Recent funding has provided an electronic score board, new nets and surface. Wiltshire Council South West Wiltshire Area Board, developers contributions to Kilmington, funds from “the land fill tax” and two local families substantial contributions all have helped provide this idyllic cricket ground.
Kilmington and Stourton Cricket Club (KSCC) is a well established cricket club based on the Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset Borders. KSCC’s ground is in the park at Stourhead (the famous National Trust house and gardens) and is probably one of the prettiest locations in which to play cricket in the South West of England.
KSCC runs four adult teams. Kilmington and Stourton Cricket Club also provide a large youth section, including under 9, under 11, under 13, under 15 and under 19 sides. All junior teams play a number of competitive fixtures both home and away, in league and local and national cup competitions. KSCC were recently (2015) re-awarded ClubMark status by the ECB.
