Join us on the Cathedral lawns to celebrate the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with BBC Wiltshire.

BBC Wiltshire is hosting a celebration of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Saturday 19 May with a free, fun-filled party in the grounds of Salisbury Cathedral.

To mark the big occasion, the event, which kicks-off at 9am, includes a whole range of family friendly entertainment, as well as a live broadcast of the ceremony on a big screen in the Cathedral grounds.

There will be live music performances from local artists on the BBC Wiltshire stage and BBC Wiltshire will be broadcasting live from the party between 9am and 4pm – your chance to meet presenters including Ben Prater and Marie Lennon. Visit the BBC Wiltshire gazebo and have a go at being a radio presenter.

Salisbury Cathedral craft activities will include dressing up costumes, kite making and a chance to leave good luck messages to the Royal couple on a wedding cake. You can even put your friends and family in the stocks!

Play giant Jenga and Connect Four with Salisbury Museum. Identify some mystery objects and children can get involved in colouring activities.

Join the English Heritage team and have-a-go at erecting a stone in the way Neolithic people may have built Stonehenge.

With Wiltshire Creative you can design and create your very own picture frame and complete it with a drawing that captures a special moment in your life.

Fans of CBBC will get the chance to have their picture taken on a small scale replica CBBC set. There’ll be an opportunity to play a range of CBBC games at special iPad stations and there’s even a CBeebies themed colour and craft corner. The BBC Blue Room is also on board showcasing the latest in digital games and technology.

Hop on board and take a tour of a fire engine with Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service.

Salisbury Street Pastors will be mingling with the crowds talking to people about their work in the community and lending a listening ear.

Food and Drink will be available to buy or bring your own picnic to enjoy as you watch the wedding.

Please note there is free city parking and all the Salisbury Park and Ride sites are free please see here for details.
